The Fantasy Bye Week Staff Writer
DFS Week 9 Plays
From the one and only Lou Brown… We won a game yesterday (two weeks ago), if we win one today (we did) that's two in a row. If we win one tomorrow (this weekend) that's called a winning streak. Well Bye Weeker’s, we’re going for a winning streak!
Premium Plays ($7,500 or more)
Matthew Stafford (DET) $7,900: Oakland has given up the third most fantasy points to opposing QB’s so far this season. If that not enough, I think we learned all we needed to about this Detroit backfield moving forward from last weeks game. They will lean heavy on Stafford’s arm to get them to the playoffs.
Dalvin Cook (MIN) $9,000: Do we play him almost every week? Yes. Is he really expensive? Yes. Is he always worth it? You know the answer. Oh, and he’s up against one of the worst rush defenses in the league.
Solid Starts ($6,000-$7,400)
Josh Jacobs (OAK) $7,200: Jacobs has looked great in his rookie campaign so far. No reason for it to stop this week going up against a Detroit defense that gives up the third most fantasy points to opposing running backs. He’ll get a ton of work again, and hopefully find his way into the end zone.
Tyrell Williams (NYJ) $6,300: Williams didn’t miss a beat last week after being sidelined with a foot injury. He played 49 of 55 offensive snaps, while racking up 91 yards and a touchdown in the process. Williams has found the end zone in each of his five games played this year. That should continue up against this Detroit secondary.
Cheap Plugs ($5,900 and under)
Cleveland Browns DEF $4300: Well this week we can’t play New England L. The next best play will be the Cleveland Defense facing a rookie QB in his first start in the NFL.
Cameron Brate (TB) $5,100: OJ Howard is still out of the lineup making Brate a great value this week. Brate received six targets last week, which is the second time this season a Bucs player not names Godwin or Evans received over five looks. That should continue going up against one of the worst defense to TE’s all season!
