The Fantasy Bye Week Staff Writer
DFS Week 12 Plays
Time to get back on track my Bye Week faithful. We had a decent week last week, but decent just isn't good enough for The Fantasy Bye Week!
Premium Plays ($7,500 or more)
Matt Ryan (ATL) $7,900: Matty Ice should have a monster week considering he’s up against the Tampa Bay secondary that gives upthe second most points to opposing QB’s. Ryan was having a great season up until his injury, and I’m looking for a big bounce back game!
Mike Evans (TB) $8,000: I’m expecting this game to be a complete shoot out (if you can’t tell from my first two plays). Evans should reap the benefits from a high scoring affair between these high powered offenses. Winston hasn’t been the most efficient this season, but he has brought Evans back into the elite category for receivers.
Solid Starts ($6,000-$7,400)
Jaylen Samauels (PIT) $6,900: With James Conner and Juju out, I’m expecting Samuels to have a big uptick in work. He’ll be facing one of the worst defenses in the league going up against the Bengals. Look for Jaylen to rack up the touches on the ground and in the air.
Odell Beckham Jr. (CLE) $7,000: It’s no secret that OBJ has not lived up to expectations in his first season with Cleveland. He has been facing some very tough cornerbacks as of late which has hindered his production. This week will be the first time in a while he will not be up against an elite corner. Look for him to make a statement in this game.
Cheap Plugs ($5,900 and under)
Ryan Griffin (NYJ) $5,600: Griffin has quickly become one of Sam Darnold's favorite targets while Chris Herndon has been out. Oakland gives up the third most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, and have not been terrible against outside receivers. I’m looking for Griffin to be used often in this matchup.
Kareem Hunt (CLE) $5,600: Hunt has had 10+ touches in each of his first two games back. He has been mainly utilized in the pass game, while Chubb gets most of the carries. Chubb, however, came up a little gimpy at the end of the last game. When Cleveland has a substantial lead, look for Hunt to get a ton of carries against a low end rush defense.
